About STR Like The Best (PRIVATE)

Members get live Q&A with Chang, personalized feedback in the community, a regular drip of short-term rental trends and access to what the group calls a Motivated Investor Network.[1]

Chang is a former Wall Street investment banker who runs a YouTube channel about building an Airbnb business, aimed at both experienced and new investors.[2] The group's website, strlikethebest.com, is built around the STR tax loophole and lists a blog, lending, media, an STR time tracker, an STR analysis guide, the investor community, an academy, mentorship and a podcast.[3] In a February 2025 episode of the Tax Smart REI Podcast, published by Thomas Castelli of Hall CPA, Chang described how he moved from investment banking to full-time real estate investing.[4] He said he discovered the short-term rental tax loophole on Twitter in 2019, and pointed listeners to his own podcast, which shares the group's name.[4]
