Earnings calculator: the most a community could bill
Two published numbers multiplied together: members × list price. This is not what it earns: real earnings are lower, often much lower, once free members, trials, discounts, refunds, churn and fees come out.
Enter your members and your monthly price to see the most they could bill.
Reading the number
Why the answer is usually smaller than people expect.
The ceiling assumes every single listed member pays the full published price, every month, for ever. That never happens anywhere. It ignores free members, trials, discounts, refunds, churn, platform fees and tax, all of which push the real figure down and none of which push it up.
Which is exactly why it is useful. Because it can only overstate, a small ceiling is a strong statement: whatever the real figure is, it is below this one.
This is not revenue, earnings or income. Nobody here has seen anybody’s accounts, and a number built from a price list is not an accounts figure however it is labelled. Where a price or a result is large enough that the multiplication stops meaning anything, this calculator declines to do it, which is the same rule every community page on this site follows.
How the site reads and dates the figures it publishes is written up in full, including where the numbers come from and what we do when a platform stops publishing one.
