About The Grove Kung Fu

Members follow step-by-step courses, join two interactive live sessions a week, receive technical corrections during them, and can return to an archive of earlier sessions with written summaries.[1]

The group's teacher, Sonny Mannon, has studied Chinese martial arts for more than 15 years, starting with Praying Mantis Kung Fu and Yang style Tai Ji, and then trained for eight years under masters Zhang Wei Dong and Liu Zu Guang.[1][2][3] With Liu Zu Guang, Mannon formed the Guang Wu Shuai Jiao Association to spread Chinese wrestling internationally.[2] A YouTube channel covering Baguazhang, Beijing Shuai Jiao, Xin Yi Quan and Tai Ji Quan points viewers to the community.[3] Mannon also founded Rooted Alchemy, a separate Tai Chi, Qigong and mindful movement brand with its own channel, which produces online lessons, community workshops and a seven-day Tai Chi and Qigong challenge.[4][5]
