About Golf Think Tank

The masterclass explains what strokes gained data measures, why more practice is not the fix it offers, the course strategy error it singles out, and which strokes gained apps help or hinder.[1] Its pitch is that better on-course decisions, rather than swing changes, lower scores.[1]

Course of Action Golf coaches players one to one, using strokes gained data to find where shots are lost and then building a course management plan.[2] Its monthly program, The Fish Tank, takes a limited roster and includes personalized strokes gained cheat sheets to share with a swing coach and an analysis of which events suit a player's strengths.[2] The company also offers strokes gained platform placement and course approach consultations, with sessions ranging from course management to the mental game.[4] Its team page names Susan Petefish as founder, alongside advisors in biomechanics, mental game coaching and performance training.[5]
