About The Ethical Predator (FREE)

Members get a worldwide community and a weekly Cold Shot Challenge.[1] A post on the operator's blog announcing the group in February 2025 listed topics such as stickbow shooting, form and tuning, and the tracking and scouting strategies traditional bowhunters use.[2][3] Live training sessions are scheduled on the group's calendar tab.[2] The official site adds a weekly newsletter on the hunter's mindset, scouting and tracking, and getting stickbow ready, and mentions contests and giveaways in the community.[3]

Richardson wrote The Code of Traditional Archery, a book on the journey, ethics and process of traditional bowhunting, and a second book called The Ethical Predator, which shares the group's name.[1][3] The Code of Traditional Archery is also a podcast hosted by Richardson since 2022, in a story, teach and lessons-learned format, with 29 episodes as of September 2026.[4] One special edition featured Mark Sasser, a partner at Bwana Bow Company.[4] Richardson also runs a mentoring program for people new to traditional bowhunting, and the site describes Richardson as a featured writer in The Traditional Bowhunter Magazine and Compton Traditional Bowhunting Magazine.[2] The operator also sells TRADBOW GEAR merchandise, including a Hunt The Hard Way T-shirt.[3]
