About Athletes Authority Insider

Athletes Authority is a strength and conditioning gym in Sydney that works under the slogan "Success Is a Team Sport".[2] Karl Goodman started the business in early 2016 and partnered with Lachlan Wilmot in 2017, the year Athletes Authority was incorporated.[3][4] Goodman is founder and director of business development, having begun as a personal trainer in 2007, while Wilmot is director of coaching and performance.[4] The gym's training philosophy is "Minimising the Downside (Injury) While Pursuing the Upside (Performance)", and it combines in-person coaching with virtual and mobile support and a sports physio program.[2]

For coaches, the brand sells a Personal Training Course, the Coach Immersion Program, a Speed System Course, an ACL Mentorship, a Hamstring Series Course and a Business Mentorship.[2][4] Goodman also writes near-daily free emails for gym owners, publishes a paid monthly printed newsletter called The Alley-Oop, and runs a mastermind for gym owners working in athletic development and sports rehabilitation.[5] The brand's podcast, Athletes Authority on Air, interviews figures from the strength and conditioning community, and its YouTube channel carries the line "Athletes Deserve A Gym That's Built For Them."[2][6] In September 2021, Goodman was the guest on a podcast episode hosted by Durham McInnis about the business of running a high performance facility.[3]

The Athletes Authority education site publishes a refund policy, a student withdrawal form and a complaints and appeals policy.[4]
