Why this page does not explain a single strategy
Nobody here trades. A page from us explaining how to scalp would be generic advice with our name on it, assembled from other people’s pages, and it would be worth exactly nothing to you. Every other page on this site is built on figures we read and dated, and this one is going to be as well.
So the question is turned around. Rather than teaching a method, here is which methods the communities in this market describe themselves as teaching, counted from their own listings. That is a fact about an industry rather than instruction, and one we can count from the listings themselves.
What is being sold
| Method | Communities describing themselves this way |
|---|---|
| Futures | 126 |
| Forex | 92 |
| Day trading | 70 |
| Price action | 60 |
| ICT / Smart Money | 50 |
| Algorithmic and automated | 41 |
| Options | 38 |
| Prop firm and funded accounts | 34 |
| Scalping | 32 |
| Long-term investing | 31 |
| Order flow and tape | 30 |
| Swing trading | 25 |
| Supply and demand | 10 |
| Volume profile | 10 |
Counted from how each listing describes itself. A community naming two methods appears under both, so these do not sum to the niche.
Read that as "describes itself this way" rather than "does this well". A listing naming a method is evidence about its copy, which is the footing every classification on this site stands on. A community naming two appears under both. The count covers the whole trading niche, not day trading alone, so it also names approaches that are not day trading, such as swing trading and long-term investing, and markets such as futures and forex alongside methods.
What the shape of it tells you
Two things are worth noticing. The named methodologies cluster heavily around a few instruments and a few schools, which means many rooms teach overlapping methods. A large share of the niche names no method at all in its listing.
None of this says which method works. That is not a question a listing can answer and not one we will pretend to.
It is speculation with your own money, and the published evidence is that most people who try it lose (SEC, n.d.; Chague, De-Losso and Giovannetti, 2020). Nothing here is advice. What a room charges is the part that can be checked before you spend anything, and the ranked day trading communities page shows each one individually with its price.
