Day trading for beginners: what it involves and what the rooms charge

This is not advice and nothing here suggests you should trade. It is a description of what is being sold around the activity, and what the sellers charge.

Say the uncomfortable part first

Day trading is speculation with your own money, and the published evidence is that most people who try it lose. The US Securities and Exchange Commission warns that day traders typically suffer severe financial losses in their first months of trading (SEC, n.d.). A study of people in Brazil who began day trading equity futures between 2013 and 2015 and kept at it for at least 300 days found that 97% of them lost money (Chague, De-Losso and Giovannetti, 2020). Any page discussing how to start owes you that before it discusses anything else. Nothing on this site is personalised advice and nobody here is qualified to give it.

What this site can do is describe the market that has grown around the activity, because that market sells subscriptions and publishes prices, and prices are something we can read and check.

What the rooms sell

  • Signals: somebody posts trades and you follow them. The oldest of the four formats.
  • Education: courses on a method, usually sold once or as a subscription.
  • Community: a room of people doing the same thing, often bought for routine and accountability.
  • Prop firm preparation: coaching towards a funded-account evaluation, which is its own industry with its own fees.

What they charge

Tracked
1,107
Communities and products we have read into trading and investing.
Middle monthly price
$79.99
Across the 207 that publish a monthly price.
Middle size
606
Listed members, as published.

See the trading and investing listings here, with what each charges and how it has moved.

Trading has more listings shown here than any other niche, and its middle price sits toward the top of the market. The spread inside it is wide, which is what you would expect from a category holding both a free signals channel and a mentorship. The day trading communities shown here are listed individually with their price and size.

If you are going to pay for one

  • Ask what is verifiable, and whether any track record you are shown is held by somebody independent of the seller.
  • Check the price against the niche, and look up the specific community here to see what it has published since we began reading it.

We do not recommend any of these communities, and nothing on this site is our judgement of whether one is any good. No figure on this site says what anybody trading has ended up with.
