About Slinging Ink Skool

The cohort includes 15 hours of teaching at college level, weekly coaching calls, and individual feedback and accountability, and places are applied for from inside the group.[1] Members also get immediate access to cheat sheets, more than 80 Art Hack videos, a Character Archetypes course and 21 Human Study Practice Sheets.[1] As of September 2026, individual modules started at $85 for those not taking the full cohort.[1]

The group owner's profile links to the portfolio site and YouTube channel of Colin Dyer, who works professionally as an illustrator and comic book artist.[2] Dyer's portfolio site presents comic and illustration work alongside commercial storyboard samples and character, vehicle and prop designs.[3] Dyer's experience includes art for videos and storyboarding for commercials, and current projects include a 143-page graphic novel memoir and a science fiction comic owned by its creator.[2] On Patreon, Dyer is building a photo reference library and a bi-monthly webcomic, with tutorials, livestreams and downloadable reference materials.[2] The YouTube channel covers visual storytelling, including storyboards, comic art, illustration, concept art and shot composition.[4]
