About The Screenwriters Social

Members get weekly film and TV breakdowns, industry conversations and screenwriting tips, more than 100 hours of recorded workshops, produced movie and TV scripts, and writing sprints with challenges and peer feedback.[1] As of September 2026, The Social's membership tiers cost $5, $19 and $39 a month.[2] Writers who want step-by-step guidance on a script can upgrade to The Academy, which The Professional Pen calls its budget-friendly film school.[1][3] Its live version runs six 2-hour workshops led by industry professionals for features and single-camera TV pilots, and as of September 2026 cost $599, with eligibility for an invitation to The Script Development Lab, which takes three writers each term.[2]

The Professional Pen also offers page-by-page Development Notes on submitted scripts and 1-hour script consultations called Story Jams.[3][4]
