About HPU - Black Belt Brain™

Members get HPU Roadmap tracking, a step-by-step phase system released weekly, a 6-week Flight Plan, a monthly Q&A call and community support.[1] The Phase System runs through eight phases: pin escapes, immediate offence, pinning, submissions, guard passing, guard play, wrestling and leg locking.[2] It also uses the SAMI Framework (study, apply, measure, iterate), a personalised Your Game Audit of each member's gaps, and Conquering Competition, a protocol for mental and physical competition preparation.[2] Every 6 weeks the group meets to review wins and plan next steps.[2]

As of September 2026, the Standard plan, for people with under 12 months of experience, cost $44 a month for phases 1 to 4, community access, one live Q&A a month and the 6-week flight plan, while the Premium plan, for those with 12 months or more of training, cost $125 a month and added "3x 1:1 Fortnightly Progress Evaluators".[2] Tracking runs in a web app, HPU Roadmap Advantage, where each video is tagged to the position and skill it covers beside the member's Audit rating.[3] Members can rate their week, note what is working and post to the group, or ask Josh about a sticking point.[3] The app keeps data only on the member's device, and users are told to save a file occasionally.[3] A linked YouTube channel uses the same pitch and lists its coach's credentials as "Black belt <4 years + ADCC semi finalist".[4]
