About Next Level Officiating

For minor hockey officials it covers positioning for clear sightlines, the three- and four-official systems, and what to say to coaches when managing the bench.[1] Junior and minor pro officials get four-official mechanics for fast play, frameworks for handling line brawls and scrums and setting a penalty standard, advice on moving up a level, and live breakdowns of game tape.[1] The program also teaches positioning patterns such as the Pivot Point System, meant to keep officials in place to make calls at speed.[3]

Next Level Officiating also runs workshops held in game conditions rather than classrooms, with fitness testing against benchmarks used at major junior and professional level.[3][4] Its two-day camp is for officials working in, or trying out for, Minor Pro, Major Junior and Junior hockey.[4]
