About The Private Chef Network

The group covers moving from restaurant kitchens to private households, promoting oneself to get hired, what wealthy families look for in a chef, and handling trial days and client interviews.[2] New members receive The Yacht Chef Guide ebook on joining.[1][2] The network's own site adds free tools such as a Chef Portfolio Maker and a second guide, The Private Chef Guide, on becoming a private chef and progressing to high-level household roles.[1][3] A masterclass on portfolios, the private chef CV, trial days and long-term careers had not yet been released, with a waiting list open.[3]

Montclair Chef, founded in 2022, places full-time private chefs with UHNW families, households and family offices across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Monaco.[4][5] Demaillet trained under Michel Roux OBE at The Waterside Inn and began working on superyachts as a sous chef in 2008.[4][6] In 2017 Demaillet created YachtChefWanted.com, an online platform for yacht chef job listings, and relaunched it under a new brand in the winter of 2022.[6] The agency requires STCW and ENG1 for yacht positions and Food Hygiene Level 2 for all positions, and registering does not guarantee placement.[7]
