About MasterGrief

Members learn through conversations, classes and courses grounded in what the group calls the Five Grief Fundamentals, which start from the premise that grief involves the brain, the heart and the mind.[1] Topics include reframing how loss is carried, calming the nervous system and staying connected to the people members miss without guilt.[1] The group frames its aim as learning to miss the people they have lost with less pain and more love, on a timeline each member sets.[1]

The wider MasterGrief business offers courses, groups, 1:1 coaching and workplace training for individuals and workplaces.[2][3] Its courses include Grief Mastery 101, Grief After Suicide, the Grief Breakthrough System, Business Accelerator, Become a Grief Educator and UNSTUCK: 10-Day Experience, along with a First 2 Years of Grief online course.[2][3] For employers it sells the Human Recovery Plan, which it presents as a framework to help leaders recognise, measure and manage how loss and disruption affect people at work.[3] Filipone, an author and speaker, sets out the grief fundamentals in the book In The Trenches: A Coach's Walk Through Grief.[1][3] The MasterGrief YouTube channel focuses on finding purpose in pain and building meaning into life after a loss.[4]
