About Elite Careers Strategy Gateway

Members join weekly live sessions built on the ECS Offer-Engineering System, a set of named frameworks including VTMR, PEAL-3, PEAL-X, STAR-3, BDC and Commercial Fluency, and a peer group.[2] The group is presented as the recommended first step before an application-only one-to-one programme.[2]

Akram is the founder and principal adviser, and he personally leads each Private Careers Advisory engagement.[3] Before ECS, he worked in recruitment and search in London, at Heriot Brown, Barclay Simpson and Kea Consultants, and he also founded Who Gets In?, which studies how people are chosen by selective employers and institutions.[3] The advisory takes clients by application with a limited intake each year, and it also offers a multi-year family advisory.[4] ECS's website states that ECS is used as a trading name by City Careers Coach Online Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 15883448.[3]

ECS states that it is not a recruitment agency, that it does not guarantee offers and that hiring decisions sit with employers.[1] It also states that it is independent and has no affiliation with any firm, university or institution its website names.[3] The listing adds: "Outcomes vary. Past results do not guarantee future results."[2]
