About The Bike Fit Academy

Members share photos and videos of their own riding position for community discussion, join educational webinars and learn how to observe, question and understand position.[1] Riders with aches, pain or discomfort on the bike are invited to share experiences and compare notes with one another.[1] Structured, step-by-step education and resources are planned for later.[1]

UK Bike Fit is a studio specialising in cycling injury, comfort and performance, where fits are carried out by a team of chartered physiotherapists.[2] Its motto is "A Bike Fit is a PROCESS, not a product", and its services include pre-purchase sizing, bike fitting, shoe fitting and saddle pressure mapping.[2] The studio's UKBF Performance Lab offers physiology testing for amateur athletes, and a sister company, PerformLab Coaching, works alongside it.[3][4] UK Bike Fit is owned by Dan Smith, a physiotherapist with 10 years of experience specialising in biomechanics.[4] The business also publishes bike fit tutorials, tech reviews and bike fitting technology on its YouTube channel.[5]
