Nomad Mixed Combat Training is a free Skool community built around Nomad Krav Maga, a self-defense system that blends Krav Maga with MMA, grappling and weapons-based tactics.[1][2][3] Its chief instructor is Shannon "Shane" Langwell, founder of Nomad Krav Maga and creator of the Nomad Mixed Combat System.[2][3] Langwell has taught Krav Maga professionally since 2012 and has run a training center since 2016.[2] The Skool group was created in February 2025.[1]

About Nomad Mixed Combat Training

The free program includes the 10-week Nomad Krav Maga Blueprint, a Foundations program on striking and defending, a training manual of more than 65 pages, 40 Combat Conditioning classes and a technique demonstration video library.[1] Members also get the Nomad Nutrition System, made up of an Accelerator, a Method and a Field Guide, along with Beast System solo training and the 10-week Become Your Beast transformation challenge.[1] The group is pitched at beginners as well as advanced practitioners.[1] The Nomad YouTube channel says the gym livestreams its regular classes free, Monday through Thursday, and it carries follow-along heavy bag workouts.[4]

The full system is organised around what the operator calls the 7 Methods of Combat: Krav Maga, striking, grappling, conditioning, firearms, knife and stick.[3][4] Alongside the free community, the operator runs an Affiliate Network for established gyms and coaches, an Apprentice Program for people learning to teach, and an instructor path it describes as a mentorship system for coaching and running Nomad Krav Maga training.[2][3] StartNomadTraining.com is published by Nomad Mixed Combat Online, LLC.[2] A contributor article in a business publication describes Langwell's classes as building confidence, resilience and community among students, with regular check-ins and plans adjusted for each student.[5]
