A review on the numbers, not an opinion: nobody here has joined Midlife Reset, and nothing below is a verdict.

Midlife Reset is a Skool community for midlifers who have done the therapy and read the books but still run the same loops.[1] It was created in 2025 and is run by Ian Callaghan, a behaviour-change author and coach who created the Emotional Observation Method (EOM).[1][2] Callaghan's stated background includes 25 years as an IT systems architect and work as an NLP Master Practitioner.[1]

About Midlife Reset

The community's premise is that self-sabotage reflects neither character nor weakness; it is what a nervous system under strain predictably produces.[1] Built as a systems approach, EOM deals with self-sabotage, addictive patterns, regulating emotions, the load on the nervous system and how behaviour changes under pressure, and it rests on three rules: physiology before psychology, observation before choice, and identity last.[2] New members start in a free 7-Day Reset classroom, and a Premium tier goes further.[1] The group states that it is not therapy and not accountability theatre.[1]

Callaghan's book Under Load sets out the full method in seven parts and thirty-four chapters.[2] As of September 2026, the eBook with AI Ian, a companion trained on the EOM framework, cost £14.97, and the Sovereign Operator Bundle on food, emotional regulation, nervous system and daily structure cost £97, as did a 40-minute 1:1 Reset Session.[2] Callaghan's other work includes Beyond 12 Steps, Emotional Mastery and The 30 Day Reset.[2] A YouTube channel under the line "Stop digging. Start repairing." covers getting free of dependence without leaning on sheer willpower, using EOM to stop reactive loops, and recovery of the nervous system and metabolism, and links to the community.[3]
