About Sound Horizon Academy (Free)

Joining gives instant access to the Melodic Bass Starter Kit: Phase 1 of the Release-Ready Blueprint Course, 8 beginner tutorials, Ableton project files and racks, the Culture Code Serum Bank and an AI assistant called EMBR.^[1] It is aimed at producers who want to make music in the vein of Illenium, Seven Lions, Nurko or Culture Code.^[1]

The academy's own site describes a structured, step-by-step melodic bass course with weekly Q&As and feedback sessions.^[2]^[3] It also offers a free Melodic Bass Assessment, a Producer Diagnostic Quiz of 11 questions on why a producer's drops are not hitting.^[3]

Culture Code is the DJ and production duo of Chris Bains and Dylan Norton, who have released melodically driven dance music since 2012 and first made a name in the melodic dubstep scene with remixes.^[4] The duo earlier launched the Culture Code Academy, which offered one-to-one production lessons to upcoming producers.^[4]
