About Shrink Rap

Topics include holistic healing of trauma and emotional wounds, strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, and an introduction to equine assisted psychotherapy.^[1] The group also holds monthly webinars with experts in holistic and trauma-focused therapies, discussions of therapeutic methods, and creative workshops involving art, movement and psychodrama.^[1]

Hernandez-Kaufman is a licensed psychotherapist and licensed marriage and family therapist whose practice, Changes That Heal Counseling, uses an integrated approach drawn from evidence-based treatment methods, including trauma-focused protocols such as EMDR and Brainspotting.^[2] The practice offers individual, couples, family, and teen and child counselling in English and Spanish, in person, by phone or virtually, along with life coaching and a 9-week whole-person wellness workshop called Total Transformation.^[3] Hernandez-Kaufman began equine assisted psychotherapy training in 2023, runs a monthly women's group, and is on the team of Serenata Wellness, which holds health and wellness retreats in the Greater Nashville area.^[2]^[4]^[5]

Hernandez-Kaufman's practice site states adherence to the legal and ethical guidelines of the licensing State Boards for Marriage & Family Therapy and of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy.^[2] Members can cancel at any time themselves.^[1]
