About Parenting Adult Children Today

Hickem also runs the Parenting Adult Children Today website, which offers tools, strategies and encouragement for building a lasting connection with adult children.[2][3] The site offers a free guide, 7 Keys To Talking With Your Adult Children, accessed through LeaderPass, and takes bookings for Hickem to speak at events.[2][3] It presents Hickem as an executive coach and psychotherapist and as CEO of the Dash Group.[2]

On the Where Parents Talk podcast, host Lianne Castelino spoke with Hickem about estrangement between parents and adult children and why it is becoming more common.[4] In the episode, she shares strategies for rebuilding trust, improving communication and setting healthier boundaries with grown children.[4]
