About Purposeful Parents

Its premise is that teenage boys need goals, accountability and someone in their corner, and that change has to start in the home environment.[1] New members are invited into a 21-Day Challenge that takes five minutes a day and begins with a quiz that sets a path for each parent's parenting style.[1] Pickard shares strategies, scripts and mindset changes aimed at creating calm and connection at home.[1]

Pickard also hosts Generation Get To It, a podcast produced by Full Tribe Fitness that offers practical parenting tips on helping adolescents develop coping mechanisms and personal development.[2] The podcast points listeners to the Purposeful Parent Community and has promoted a 28 Day Parent Challenge.[2] Its show notes describe Pickard's earlier career working with international-level athletes and business executives in 3 countries.[2] On YouTube, Pickard's stated mission is helping parents and coaches bring up self-reliant teenagers, with videos on building independence, using sport and mastery to build identity, and being the adult a teenager listens to.[3] The channel also speaks to mentors and youth workers.[3]
