About Oboe School

It is aimed at avocational players, including long-time players and those returning to the oboe, as well as professional oboists, oboe educators and serious young players early in their studies.[1][3] The group says it does not give oboe lessons, and holds frequent live Q&A sessions with Brophey in their place, each shaped by the questions of whoever attends, with video replays and printable resources kept for members.[1] Topics include embouchure, double tonguing, circular breathing, reed troubleshooting, performance anxiety and auditions.[1]

Brophey also publishes educational material about the oboe on YouTube.[2]
