About Japanese Speaking Buddies

Members join weekly small-group speaking sessions with real-time correction from a native speaker, and get personal feedback between sessions and structured practice resources.[1] There is no set curriculum: each lesson stands alone, so missing one does not put a learner behind.[2] A starter group for beginners works on speaking from the first day.[2]

The club's website names the teacher as Ryu, who says five years of teaching learners worldwide showed that they lacked real speaking practice.[2] As of September 2026, the site listed a Basic Plan and Buddy Plus, which adds a weekly one-to-one lesson with Ryu.[2] The site offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.[2]
