About Engineers in Business
Members get a peer group, frameworks to validate and sell an idea, and access to business owners, engineers and global talent.[1] The group explains that it is free because this stage is about finding out rather than committing.[1]
The paid program is a 12-week Engineer-to-Owner Sprint, set out on the engineersinbusiness.com website, in which Abdullah and his team work with a small cohort of engineers as they choose an idea, package it and win a first paying client while still employed.[2] Entry is by a short application, and the weekly routine is to view brief training videos, attend the Sprint call or catch its replay, send a fixed quota of outreach messages and keep a scorecard up to date.[2] The ventures built in the program are usually service businesses.[2] Under its stated terms, a participant who attends, completes the assignments and hits the agreed outreach targets but does not land a paying client in 12 weeks can join the next cohort at no additional tuition.[2]
The program's sister company is Engineers in Marketing, an agency that builds and runs what it calls a Bathroom Lead System for bringing homeowners onto a business's calendar each month.[2][3] The agency's founder spent five years as an aerospace engineer before leaving a 9-to-5 job, and the agency states that it does not guarantee closed jobs and does not sell shared leads.[3] A YouTube channel under the line "I teach engineers the blueprint to business" points viewers to EngineersinBusiness.com.[4]
