About Emerging Fashion Designers

Members follow a staged route from first idea to finished collection, with plain explanations of design, sewing and production.[1] The program also covers sourcing materials on a budget, branding, insider advice on the fashion business and feedback on members' work.[1]

Henry launched her own label in September 2018, and a later news report described it as custom urban streetwear for men and women, inspired by the films Black Panther and 300 and made by a local collective she oversees.[3] At the time of that report she was part of Macy's Fashion Incubator, a program giving emerging designers mentorship and in-store workspace.[3] Her site says the label debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2018 and that she earlier worked as personal assistant and stylist to Cicely Tyson.[4]
