Filmmaking Workshop publishes 96 course modules on Skool. It charges $9 a month.

A review on the numbers, not an opinion: nobody here has joined Filmmaking Workshop, and nothing below is a verdict.

The Filmmaking Journey is a Skool community for people building a voice behind the camera, from those just picking up a camera to those already shooting for clients.[1] It is run by the filmmaker Jonas Kolecki, and the group was created in December 2024.[1][2] The group teaches visual storytelling and filmmaking to people who want to turn ideas into films without going to film school.[1]

About Filmmaking Workshop

Members get a filmmaking roadmap, templates and a toolkit for planning and sharing work, feedback and mentorship from other members, a monthly 30-second Mini Film Challenge and a one-on-one creative audit from Kolecki.[1] The Filmmaking Journey website describes the project as a practice space for image-makers who want a cinematic voice rather than only technical competence.[2] It sets out a four-stage roadmap (develop your eye, find your voice, build a body of work, sustainable practice), and its menu names Fundamentals, Workshop and Accelerator.[2] The site carries a 2023 copyright notice in the name of Phantom Island Films.[2]

Kolecki is a filmmaker, painter and collagist whose practice centres on time as both a tool and a subject, and he works across painting, film, performance and collaboration.[3] His links page lists teaching in observation, research, story, cinematography, sound and editing, alongside Ephemeral Film production.[3] His work appeared in Willi the Cat, a group exhibition at Fondazione Antonio Dalle Nogare in Bolzano curated by Massimo Bartolini and Luca Trevisani in 2020 and 2021.[3] The Filmmaking Journey site lists Porsche, Piaget and Richard Mille among his clients.[2]
