About Detailing Essentials

Members get product recommendations, discounts, leaderboard prizes and direct access to the experts.^[1] Monson's business teaching is organised around ten disciplines of a detail business, split into 32 sub-practices, from shop operations, sales and marketing to P&L, compliance and risk, and tech and data.^[2]

Through the Detailing Essentials website, Monson also runs business, detail, paint correction and wet sanding training, in-shop audits and group coaching.^[2] Group coaching comes in two 12-week tiers, Operator and Owner, which as of September 2026 cost $5,000 and $12,000.^[3] The Operator tier includes weekly group calls with Monson, homework, workbooks and templates, and community access, while the Owner tier includes a full in-shop audit and an on-site action plan.^[3]

Operator can be paid in three instalments and Owner in four.^[3] As of September 2026, a strategy call with Monson cost $500, credited against any tier bought afterwards.^[3]
