The Trading Cafe is a trading education company, and its school is hosted on Skool.[1] The Skool group was created in 2022, and the company dates its opening to December 2022, when it launched as a school that was free to join, with no credit card required.[2][3] It was founded by Zack van Niekerk, its chief executive, and Peter Visser, its head of marketing.[3][4] In a press interview, Visser described the two founders as entrepreneurs who recruited successful traders rather than traders themselves.[5]

About The Trading Cafe

Members get courses, downloadable strategy PDFs, and exercises and checklists meant to structure their study.[2] Traders teach live on Zoom each week, and members can ask questions and comment on the live classes.[2][6] Recorded training is kept in a library called the Vault.[1] The teaching covers several markets, with the main focus on stocks and forex.[1] The company states that it is an education platform and offers no trading signals, financial advice or trade recommendations.[4]

The Skool group calls itself a sister school to The Trading Academy, the company's paid program, which funds the free school.[2][7] Students begin in the free school and can move up to the paid program when they choose.[7] As of September 2026, the company's book cost around $10.[1] Van Niekerk developed a six-week programme called the Expertise Extraction Framework.[3] The business is registered in Hong Kong as The Trading Cafe Limited and in the United States as The Trading Cafe LLC, with an address in Wilmington, Delaware.[4] It also runs a YouTube channel that presents The Trading Cafe as a learning hub for aspiring traders.[6]
