About Slow Dancing 101

Couples learn the Foxy, which the course calls its signature slow-dance method, plus six moves for a wedding, the kitchen or anywhere a good song comes on.[1] Johns describes foxy as an underground social dance.[4] Both partners are taught to lead and to follow rather than a set routine, and no experience is needed.[1] The course is a one-time purchase with lifetime access, and lessons can be cast to a TV for practice.[1]

Bella Marie Ballroom also offers Dips and Tricks 101, Hustle 101 and First Dance 101, and as of September 2026 its Romance Through Dance 101 bundle of four date-night courses, including Waltz 101, cost $177.[2][3] Custom first-dance choreography is sold through its Stan Store page.[3] Johns founded Danse L’Amour in 2021 and oversees a team of first-dance instructors.[2][4] A related site, First Dance Coaching, teaches couples the foxy method from home.[5] The Bella Marie Ballroom YouTube channel posts partner dance tutorials, romantic shorts and Johns's West Coast Swing journey.[6]
