The RMS Income Investing Community is a Skool group for investors who want to build an income-focused retirement portfolio.[1][2] Its content is led by Steve Selengut, who wrote Retirement Money Secrets: A Financial Insider's Guide to Income Independence, the book the group treats as its foundation.[1][3] Membership questions go to Lauren Erickson, whose marketing studio, Onwardbound Marketing, announced the community in a press release in January 2025.[1][4] The group was created on Skool in December 2024.[1]

About RMS Income Investing Community

Members get the complete RMS Course for Income Investing, four monthly portfolio selection spreadsheets, and between one and three Q&A sessions a week joined by industry experts and fellow members of the community.[1] A free mentorship sub-community with onboarding information serves newer investors, and members receive 50% off individual coaching services.[1] The launch release named closed-end funds (CEFs), MCIM and risk management among the retirement investing areas covered.[4]

Selengut, who goes by The Retirement Income Coach, also offers one-on-one coaching through The Retirement Income Coach LLC, covering how to manage a portfolio, choose investments and grow income.[2][5] His coaching site lists concepts he introduced, among them Base Income, Smart Cash, QDI + PT, The Investor's Creed and The Working Capital Model.[2] Erickson, a strategist in branding and go-to-market work, co-designed that site; her studio builds courses, toolkits and subscriptions for clients, mostly legal and financial firms and mission-driven organizations.[2][5][6]

The coaching site states that Steve Selengut and The Retirement Income Coach LLC do not act as professional investment advisors, that the coaching is meant only to offer educational insight and guidance, and that each client carries full responsibility for their own investment choices.[2]
