About nextAdvisory Business Basics

Its free resources include business planning guides and cash flow planning tools.[1] They are organised around three questions: where the business is going, what it needs to do financially to get there, and how to sell more of its ideal services to ideal clients.[1]

The community belongs to nextAdvisory, a New Zealand accounting and business advisory firm run by Luke and Phil, two Chartered Accountants.[2][3] Its website names Luke Kemeys as a business advisor at the firm and says he was recognised as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) in 2025.[3] The firm handles annual accounts, tax returns, provisional tax planning, GST returns and Companies Office compliance, takes consultancy work by the hour or by the project, and offers a 90-day focus framework for planning.[3] Kemeys also hosts Keep The Change, a financial literacy podcast, sends weekly Money Mail lessons by email, and works as a speaker and business strategist.[3][4]

The firm's clients are all on monthly retainers that cover incidental questions through the year without a separate invoice.[3] It works with businesses that are already trading and does not take on brand-new start-ups.[2][3]
