About Master Japanese: Matsu Academy

Self-paced lessons start from scratch with hiragana, then move through katakana, kanji, self-introduction, sentence building and verb conjugation on a path to the N5 level.[1] The course library includes Hiragana 101, Katakana 101, Kanji 101, Basic Grammar, Survival Phrases for Travel, Adjectives & Opinions and Evolving Verbs, with drills, quizzes, exams and downloadable charts and cheatsheets.[2] Members post their work for direct feedback and join live community calls on pronunciation and culture, which are recorded; newcomers may simply watch until they want to take part.[2] Culture lessons cover etiquette at shrines, temples and on trains, and the group shares a monthly Japanese music playlist, recipes and anime.[1]

Each cohort has a limited number of places, and members can cancel through Skool at any time.[1][2]
