About First Gen Law

Members get discussion and guidance on law school, free digital resources on classes and strategy, resources on GPA and exam scores, and advice ranging from study strategies to job hunting.

The paid 1L+ Membership adds the 1L Rules Vault, lessons such as How to Write a Law School Exam and Policy Arguments for 1Ls, practice exam walk-throughs, and a 1L Survival Guide with time-blocking templates and study strategies.^[3] As of September 2026, the membership cost $22 a month and could be cancelled at any time.^[3] The First Gen Law site also sells exam frameworks, rule statements and outlines, including 1L Rules, a set of exam-ready rule statements for 1Ls.^[4] The platform says it teaches how professors grade exams, how to structure answers and how to build outlines that support analysis.^[2]
