About Film Club (Acting, Filmmaking)

Its bonus courses run in three tracks.[1] The acting track covers starting an acting career, auditions and self-tape training, and landing an agent and manager; the screenwriting track covers story structure and dialogue; and the filmmaking track covers directing actors, cinematography, editing for emotion and pacing, and producing on any budget.[1] The listing says new missions, courses and resources are added every week.[1]

Tinoco played the lead role of Cesar Diaz in Netflix's On My Block across four seasons, and his film credits include Knights of the Zodiac and Bad Hombres.[2][3] He also played Tybalt in R#J, a Sundance competition title, and his site says he runs a clothing line company called Sangre Mia.[2]

Film Club is separate from Tinoco's paid online acting school, The Actor's Campus, which he launched in 2023 according to a December 2023 interview on actorswithissues.com.[3][4] The Actor's Campus offers pre-recorded video lessons, weekly live classes every Sunday with guests such as producers, casting directors and actors, in-person networking events and a talent showcase.[5][6] As of September 2026, it cost $99 a month and could be cancelled at any time; members must speak and read English, since the course has no subtitles, and no prior acting experience is needed.[5] Tinoco's site also sells a 16-step online course on starting an acting career.[4]
