Beyond Distortion is a Skool community for drum and bass (DnB) and other electronic music producers.[1] It is run by a producer who goes by Confusion and says the material comes from their own working process rather than theory.[1] The group treats the main obstacle as decision-making rather than knowledge: what to fix first, when a track is finished, and whether to trust one's own taste.[1] Inside, members learn about separating creating from critiquing, matching each action to the phase a track is in, and knowing what a track needs instead of guessing.[1] Confusion also runs live sessions that break down pieces of their own work and answer members' questions.[1] The Skool group was created in January 2025.[1]
