About Comp Lair: Growth Club

Comp Lair's main paid program is The Next Level, a course for aspiring and current Compositing Supervisors that the brand says is supported by Foundry.[3][4] It is pitched at experienced artists and moves quickly, assuming prior knowledge rather than teaching the basics step by step.[3] Its modules cover mindset, technique, scripting, management, and soft skills and strategy, with the scripting part including TCL, Python and QT.[3] Entry starts with an application for a free strategy call, and the team includes Monica Abdurehaman, who works on workshop design and facilitation.[3] A free course, the Tech Corner Bundle, has more than 25 lessons.[4]

Comp Lair was founded by Pedro Andrade, a compositing supervisor who previously served as Head of Compositing at MPC London.[3][4] In that post he oversaw more than 100 people in London, Berlin and Montreal, from junior artists up to supervisors, across episodic and film work.[4] The CG Spectrum podcast interviewed Andrade about his own podcast and The Next Level.[4]
