About Building Builders Academy Plus
The group is aimed at would-be builders entering new construction, from complete beginners to those preparing a first project.[1] It covers setting up a building business, using construction loans and finding funding, and its free tier offers resources plus pre-recorded content each week.[1]
The academy sells tiered memberships whose courses include Intro To Home Building, Business Building Essentials and How To Build A House, along with a self-paced master course on the 10 phases of construction.[2][5] Its coaching program, the most intensive option, adds weekly phone calls, the online community and in-person workshops to the full coursework.[2] The Blueprint is a two-day live bootcamp on real estate development, and other workshops and webinars deal with build-to-rent strategies.[2]
The Atlanta Voice describes the pair, Johnson and the house flipper Parker, as property experts with their own construction company who also teach workshop classes for would-be contractors in Atlanta.[6] The pair's own site says Johnson worked as a real estate agent in Georgia before founding the construction and redevelopment company Brightstone Homes.[4] They also run a YouTube channel on finding and evaluating properties, building a rental portfolio and leveraging deals.[7]
