About Remote Rebellion
Its main program is The Remote Job Academy, a step-by-step course for landing a remote job.[3] The coaching centres on strategic positioning and direct access to decision makers at remote companies, and members join a global community of remote workers who can refer them to their own employers.[4] The company's website says it shares members' resumes with a network of more than 16,000 recruiters and makes personalised referrals where relevant.[4] It also runs an email newsletter with job search advice, remote hiring insights and new remote roles.[4]
Coulson has worked on every side of hiring since 2014, as an external recruiter, in-house recruiter, remote job seeker and remote hiring manager.[4] Her title at the company is Chief Remote Rebel, and the team includes Erin Wise as Rebel Success Manager.[2] In a June 2023 interview, Coulson said the company has no office, communicates mainly through Notion, holds weekly check-in meetings and uses Slack for quick updates.[3]
