About Makers' Yard Network

The listing describes an artist-run, member-built space online where local creatives connect, collaborate and pass on opportunities.[1] On the Makers' Yard site the network, also called the M.Y LOCAL Network, serves Bath, Frome, Bruton and the area between, with groups for local work, professional advice, events and available workspace.[3] Members also organise lunches, talks and socials.[3] Membership is an annual subscription covering the whole Discord community and its groups, and Makers' Yard manages memberships and recurring payments through Whop.[3]

When It's Nice That covered the project, illustrator Ryan Todd, photographer Emma Todd and site designer Richard Sanderson were piloting networks in Exeter, Falmouth, Plymouth, Margate and Brighton.[4] The space is a former Victorian tannery warehouse with an event space, a community yard and studios for creative people from carpenters to architects.[2][4]
