Yardstead Society is a Skool community run by Hillside Market for people drawn to homesteading, gardening, DIY building, growing and preserving food, raising chickens and other practical skills at home.[1] Its idea of yardsteading is getting more out of the space a household already has, without needing a farm or acres of land.[1] Members find DIY building resources with project support, greenhouse, garden and backyard homesteading material, builds by Hillside Market customers, workshops and educational resources, and a forum to ask questions and share progress.[1] The group was created in July 2025.[1]
