About The Furniture Squad

The group is built around peer help: members trade questions and feedback on their projects with other refinishers and furniture YouTubers, and can put questions to Jamie directly.[1] Membership includes a furniture refinishing e-book with chapters on safety, tools and supplies, finishes such as shellac, lacquer, varnish and oils, and joinery for beginners.[1][3] Alongside it come a beginner flipping guide with a full video of two nightstands being refinished, a tutorial on spraying water-based polyurethane with an HVLP electric sprayer, and a list of more than 50 furniture brands that sell well to flippers.[1][3] A furniture flipping calculator helps members set a listing price for a finished piece.[1][2]

The community also has its own website, which calls it a membership community and names Penney as its squad leader.[4] The site lists a second contributor, Matt H., a furniture restorer who posts on YouTube as Restorology.[2]
