New members start with a 7-day challenge called First Familiar, which runs day by day from the magic ring to the final details.^[1] Short videos show how to hold the yarn and hook and how to work the stitches.^[1] A member who gets stuck can post a photo at any time for help, and the community cheers on each piece of work.^[1] Every 2 weeks the guild runs live fantasy crochet-alongs, releasing each new pattern in small parts so members make it together.^[1] Membership can be cancelled at any time.^[1]
