Parent Lab is a Skool community for parents of teenagers who want to understand their teen's behavior, know what to say, and get their teenager talking to them again.[1] It was created in May 2026 and is run by Jake Gainey, a parent coach and adolescent specialist.[1][2] Gainey's stated aim is to help parents understand what a teenager's behavior is actually communicating, so that they respond to what is underneath instead of reacting to the surface.[3]

About Parent Lab

Members get weekly live coaching calls focused on their own child and situation, call recordings, and direct messaging access to Jake.[1][3] A course library covers boundaries, screen time and repair, and word-for-word scripts cover the moments when a parent does not know what to say.[1] The group also includes the Behavior Translator, an online tool that produces scripts for a given situation.[1]

Jake Gainey Coaching Services also offers private coaching that starts with a free 30-minute consult.[2] Its Parent Coaching package includes a weekly call, a session summary with action items and messaging between sessions, on a month-to-month basis.[2] The Parent + Adolescent package adds a weekly session with the teenager, and the Full Family package adds a bi-weekly family or couple session.[2] The practice states that its work is coaching, not therapy.[2]
