About Financial Collaborators

The listing says its Virtual Family Office has more than 75 specialists across five areas: tax planning, risk mitigation, wealth management, legal services and business advisory.[1] Members can read community reviews and ratings of the specialists and bring client problems to them for a second opinion.[1]

The Virtual Family Office is run by Elite Resource Team through the elitert.com website, which says it serves financial advisors, insurance agents, accountants and their clients and was created in 2014.[2] The site describes a virtual family office as a technology-based way of delivering family office services such as financial and tax planning, wealth management, business advisory and risk mitigation.[2] Advisors can show the specialists and their services on their own websites as if they were part of their firm, and accountants who only want access to the specialists can join as a VFO Associate.[2] Its transparency measures include background checks, credential verification and member ratings.[2]
