About Electronics Repair

Members follow a step-by-step beginner curriculum toward repairing a first device, with access to the owner and a community of repair techs.[1] The group runs diagnose-together community sessions, weekly calls and calendar events, and keeps repair documentation and resources.[1] Members can also get expert help with their own repairs, feedback on their work and what the listing calls 121s with repair experts.[1]

The group is run by Joey, the repairer behind Joey Does Tech, whose company is Joey Does Tech Ltd.[1][2] Joey began repairing electronics in February 2020, at first fixing gadgets to resell, and documents faulty-device repairs on YouTube.[2][3] Joey Does Tech became a Twitch Partner on 13 April 2024, and in 2021 ran a 12-hour charity livestream for a Christmas toy appeal.[2][3] The Joey Does Tech website has sections for selling a device, a shop and soldering tools, and offers Sally, a spreadsheet template for logging repair costs, fixes and sales.[4]
